UCP Suffolk Honored James R. Duffy, Attorney at Annual Gala
The gala also welcomed special guest Cathy Moriarty-Gentile, who is a well- known actress. She was formally introduced as the honorary chair and spokesperson for the UCP Suffolk Universal Access Campaign. James R. Duffy of Cutchogue is a senior partner at Duffy, Duffy & Burdo, Esqs. He was admitted to the bar in 1966 and has been in practice for over 35 years. His distinguished career as a trial attorney has won him acclaim as being among the nation's elite civil litigators in the areas of medical malpractice, negligence and personal injury. In particular, Mr. Duffy is universally recognized as one of the country's most skilled and successful trial attorneys in the representation of children seriously injured by medical negligence. He has been recognized by the publications The Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. Although Mr. Duffy spends the majority of his time trying cases, he is extremely active in championing the rights of injured persons and advancing their cause in the political and legislative arenas. A frequent lecturer, Mr. Duffy has addressed dozens of organizations, among them the American Cytology Association, Alexander Hamilton Inns of Court, New York State Trail Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Bar Association and American Trial Lawyer's Association.
